Career Process

Building your knowledge, Nurturing your ambitions

We believe this sums up BDO’s commitment to trainees pursuing an accountancy training contract. In 2015 the BDO Limerick office will be hiring 10 graduates as trainee accountants. Trainee accountants will work towards professional accounting qualifications while receiving training on the job experience and will also be given immediate responsibility and exposure to clients. We will be looking for students that are self motivated with a determination to succeed in a career as a professional accountant.

You must have:

  • Excellent academic qualifications
  • Excellent inter-personal skills

With BDO you will get the best of both worlds – a local, entrepreneurial environment that is part of a major international organization to help meet your wider professional needs and your personal objectives.

We will pay all trainee costs in relation to registration, tuition fees and examinations. We also allocate leave for study, courses and examinations as a Recognised Training Firm of both the Institute of Chartered Accounting in Ireland (ICAI and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) .There is no typical career path although the end result will be a career as a successful business adviser with an ACA or ACCA accounting qualification.
