Ireland capable of doubling its revenue from €300m to €600m in sport tourism sector in next five years

Sports Summit Limk 333

The sports tourism industry is worth an estimated €450bn globally – and is the fastest growing tourism sector – but Ireland needs a proper national strategy supported by Government to increase its share of the pie. The European Sport Tourism Summit brought some of the world’s leading experts in the sector together for a major think-tank at Thomond Park in Limerick.

BDO Limerick are proud to partner with W2 in the Sport Tourism Ireland initiative and will work with them into the future in an attempt to grow this sector in Ireland.

Check out the video featuring some of the key note speakers from the event & Ger Holliday, Partner, BDO Limerick who believes that Ireland can be a big player in the international Sport Tourism Stage.
