Taxation – dealing with tax compliance and planning for nursing home operators and owners.

Incorporation – advices in relation to structuring the transition from a sole trader or a partnership to a company, which often involves negotiations with the bank, transfer of tax allowances, dealing with investors, and other tax, commercial and accounting issues.

Revenue audits – The Revenue Commissioners rolled out a Revenue Project in 2012 focused on nursing homes. BDO have extensive experience in this sector and have been working closely with their clients in dealing with these Revenue interventions.

Banking – assisting in securing banking facilities through our experience in the sector. We provide assistance from preparing business plans and banking proposals, cash flow projections and financial assumptions, and leading negotiations with banks to secure finance.

Feasibility studies – we have conducted a number of feasibility studies to determine the feasibility of building nursing homes in locations throughout Ireland for various clients.

Restructuring – including restructures involving deleveraging banks such as Bank of Scotland and Ulster Bank. Assistance with the exit of investors from tax based nursing home property investments.

NTPF negotiations – assisting nursing home operators with conducting their negotiations with the National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF) Consulting
